‘F’ for Fabulous

I’m sure there is a reasonable explanation for this video clip, such as maybe Miss Teen South Carolina just froze up in front of the audience, or maybe she was sick that day and couldn’t function properly, but it completely boggles me how utterly retarded some people can be in the United States. When asked a simple question about Americans not being able to point out US on a map, the poor girl starts rambling about South Africa, Iraq and Asia. As if they’re really the ones that need the help right? Someone really needs to teach her a lesson on how to formulate complete and logical thoughts. It does suck though, since she’ll probably never be able to escape the infamy of that fateful interview.

The video includes subtitles, just in case you had just as hard of a time trying to follow her jibberish as I did. Enjoy.

And the most surprising thing? This girl with the intellect of Brick Tamland actually went all the way to become the 3rd runner up in 2007. No wonder “the Iraq” hates us.

Wednesday Nights are the New Thursday Nights

I remember that at some point in college, people started partying on Thursdays instead of Fridays. I’m not sure what the driving factor for the change was, but it turned out perfect since Thursdays had a ton of happy hours available at your local bars and far less people to fight through to get to the bartender.

It’s been a almost four years past college now, and I am now rediscovering how fun it can be to move your partying schedule up one day in the week. Wednesday nights are now the new Thursday nights. It all started last Wednesday at Sharky’s with some coworkers for Happy Hour. What was supposed to be a 5-8PM dinner event turned into a 5-midnight drinking extravaganza that ultimately led to the demise of my memory as well as the demise of my hair. Yup, the hair’s all gone now.

This week, my Wednesday was spent in Westminster where a couple friends and I visited The Boiling Crab, a coffee shop, and then Bleu’s. All of these places were great, it was like visiting Saigon in Vietnam, something I didn’t think I’d do until later on in life. I was even addressed to in Vietnamese, of course I was probably mistaken for being Vietnamese because of my new haircut.

Coming into work hungover on Thursdays isn’t so bad either, it helps get your weekend started a little sooner. It also helps with curbing your drinking on Fridays and Saturdays because you’re already so smashed that you tell yourself “No more!” Hopefully saying “no more” to myself will eventually prevent me from spending $700/month on alcohol as well.

So I suggest everyone to try it out and let me know how it works out for you all. Maybe I’ll see you next Wednesday.

edit: Yeah, I know… This post is useless without pics… right? So here you go:
