Ambience

It’s 12:28AM right now, and I’ve finally moved into the new apartment in Manhattan Beach.

I’m all ready for bed and I’m just reading some news headlines on the web, and I swear to god, I hear the ocean right now.

How frikkin awesome is that?

Karma Sucks

Not sure what’s up with my luck these days, but it sure could use some work. For the past couple weeks I’ve been busy apartment hunting over on Craigslist and Westside Rentals as well. Everything decent seems to be above $1500/month now with a one year lease which is just ridiculous for living in some ghetto part of Sepulveda. I found a cool rental in the Westwood area, but that fell through because the girl that was moving out ended up staying. Too bad, but at least I got a free dinner out of it.

Then while looking for apartments around the Culver City area, I saw a nice complex that had a flyer at the front door. So I did the normal thing and I pulled over in some temporary spot and jumped out to grab the flyer. Of course with my luck, a meter maid drove by and pulled up next to my car within the lengthy 20 seconds I spent outside of my car. Damn meter maid bitch gave me a ticket for parking in a red spot, even though my engine was still on and I was already right by my car. Awesome.

For some reason, I’ve had a headache consistantly everyday for the last 3 weeks as well. It’s probably a mixture of a bunch of things, but the doctors sure aren’t very helpful. I figure that it’s probably a combination of stress, drinking, sleeping on a futon, and allergies from whatever poison Victor sprayed in his livingroom. On the first visit, all I got was a perscription for ibuprofen which I waited 3 hours for; which is interesting, because I could have just bought it at any Rite Aid. After my second visit to the doctor’s office, I ended up picking up more perscriptions for Flonase and Loratadine. So now I look like a cracked out junkie if you were to look at the coffee table that I’m living off of.

Well, I don’t know what’s up with my karma, but it’s certainly hasn’t been balanced for a while. Only good news is that I did eventually find a sweet place with my new coworker over in Manhattan Beach. Hope that works out well, but in the meantime, maybe I should go play some lotto?
