Just as a warning, the next series of pictures are somewhat big, buti’m sorry, i have poor drawing skills and i made these pictures in MSpaint, so just bear with. thanks.

Here’s the story: one late Monday night at San Jose State University, Inoticed a strange sign on the wall depicting a outlandish “EmergencyEvacuation Device”. I decided to take a picture as proof of theexistance of such a peculiar contraption and here it is:

Yeah it’s strange ain’t it?  Well it got the engineer in mythinking… what the hell is this device supposed to do? what is itsupposed to be used for? To me it looks like some kid’s pushing anotherkid on chair down the stairs…. perhaps some type of strangeprank?  What in the world is this “Garaventa”??  Anyway, idecided to sketch out what i thought it did:

Ahh… it’s beginning to make more sense now… I bet it’s a chair.. onsome type of belt driven platform that allows cripples to escape fromthe top floors from inevitable doom… eg. a fire…. yes, a fire wouldmean inevitable doom i believe.  And i even took the time to writesome equations to make you all think i’m SMRT:

Yup, well.. i’m not physicist… but it definitly looks like the guy inthe back is pushing the guy on the chair down the set of stairs…. Howcool is that. what an intriguing invention…. but since i’mdoodling/posting xangas when i SHOULD be studying for my finaltomorrow, I kind of go overboard:

And the last one….

There you have it…  the “Garaventa Evacu-Trac”… I’m sold…Get me one of those right away and get me the hell out of here.
