A Quick Guide to Surviving School

Helpful Tip - “The Ghetto Staple”
Many times during the course of your education, you will find yourself with many loose sheets of binder paper and no means to compile your work together into one nice packet (eg. staplerless). Oh no! what in the world are you going to do?? Enter: “The Ghetto Staple”.  Most people will probably tell you to simply stack your papers together and then fold one corner serveral times until the individual sheets stick together, but i believe that this technique can be expanded on and improved.  For example, after you fold the corner several times, you can always tear a little notch to further increase the durability of your “ghetto staple”.  But to give a more professional look, opt for finding a single staple either from old exisiting papers, or even from a bulletin board.  Then once you have straightened out your staple you can begin to manually skewer all the pages together one by one, and then re-bending your staple back to its original and intended shape/form.

This method of assembling your multiple pages of homework is very useful in many situations.  Most of the time, you’ve probably just barely finished your homework before class and haven’t had time to find a stapler in your school.  Other times, you might wish to rearrange your homework by taking out all the empty pages reserved for those problems you didn’t know how to do, just so the professor might think you “lost” those pages by accident.  No matter the case, with this neat and useful trick, you should never be left high and dry when it’s time to turn in your work to the professor.

*footnote - be cautious and try to prevent injuries from occurring when you are skewering each of paper with the staple.

Have fun!
