Update on jay’s misfortunes.

Motorcycle tow count: 5

so on friday afternoon i took the F2 out for a spin near steven’scanyon resevoir… after a couple miles, my bike completely quits on meand dies… i can’t start it up again at all so i decide to call forhelp…

except i have no reception because i’m in the middle of the mountains…

so i start walking my ass back to where i can get reception and afterabout 1/2 mile, this camry stops by the side of the road, and theperson in the passenger seat asks me if i needed a ride… at first ithought no… but then i read “silicon valley driving school” on theside of the car and hopped in. Hitched a ride with a nice 15yr oldindian kid driver.

I get the damn thing towed for $80, even though after i get back to thebike… IT DECIDES TO START BACK UP AGAIN… i didn’t want to ridearound just to get stranded again, so i towed it home.

turns out my voltage regulator is fried… the wires coming out of theVR is all burnt black and toasty and i can’t even get the connector offsince it’s all melted together. i just spent $135 on ebay buyingreplacement parts.

damn, why do i have the worst of luck?

oh and the tow count if you were wondering… works out like this:

1st time - FZR clutch cable fell out - Jason/Marcus came to the rescue
2nd time - FZR clutch cable fell out - $80 tow
3rd time - FZR sprocket nut fell off - Henry/Me/Home Depot truck/1 hr of hell
4th time - FZR crash - albert/chris came to the rescue
5th time - this time
